Hi ,

does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a copy of servicing and new part reciepts for work done on a Audi s2 at the main dealer. When i bought mine although it has full main dealer history i was told that they aren't aloud to give copies of any work that has been done. The service book is fully stamped but any other info is stored in Audi's database.

Is this true ...

A gd friend of mine works for a stealer as well, i can ask him tomorrow when i see him if you still need an answer.

I was told the same when I enquired at the dealer for my dads newly aquired Rangie. Some bull given about some privacy act. Oh yeah, I thought, what about the freedom of information act!

They were quite helpful in bedford audi and showed me the work history on the system, but the car had been disowned since it was outside of the dealer network for servicing, didnt manage to get a printout though

I've had the same experience with Audi stealers..... although I did manage to sweet-talk them eventually. My local stealer couldn't help me, but i contacted the garages that had actually done the servicing and they helped me out and faxed through the info/invoices/records of work done.

Had to use all my charm though . It helped that they remembered the specific car i think (not many high performance audis in south Wales, so i think they stand out )

You could probably request the information from them under FOI maybe?

when i bought my old 7a i had no service history book so i wrote to audi uk and photo copied the logbook all i got back was a list of dates/mileage and the dealers that serviced the car no other info

PM with the details (reg no and chassis number) and I will see what I can find out for you.

I can normally find out when it was serviced and where. Also what warranty work was done.

To get actual invoices you would need to contact the retailer in question but for cars our age they probably won't be able to do duplicates as they won't be stored anymore. AFAIK we only store invoice data for the last 5 years.

Went in past main Audi dealer yesterday and got hold of the service manager whom was a female , managed to get a print off of all reciepts for work done in the last 5 years. Cheers to all for help....
