    Oversteer

A friend of mine has been experiencing a lot of oversteer ever since he has had Nokian
NRZI tyres fitted on the rear. It was quite a site when i was following him seeing a standard S2 avant getting sideways

Has anyone had this happen to them ?

I think that's proof perfect of those tyres being utterly awful surely?

Basically, compared to his front tyres, the rear tyres are providing significantly less grip causing the back end to break loose more easily and more quickly. If they're that bad that they can provoke a 4wd car that's set up to understeer by design (big heavy engine mounted ahead of front axle), they must be pretty ghastly?!

    Just my view.

It must be very bad tyers then, (?!)
i must say thati have only heard good about the tyers here in Norwegian roads.

When i had the 19" 235/35/19 toyo T1r tyers on my avant it was easy to achive understeer aswell, but maybe that had something to do with my T60-1 Turbo and agressive "turn-ins" on dry asphalt :mischeif:

Not every day yoiu see an avant going sideways spinning on all four!

Mismatched tyres. Good for a laugh but not when you need the car to be controllable in an emergency.

Dabbled a bit with oversteer and powersliding but it takes big balls with 225 Eagle F1s and a standard car.

Hmm, reminds me of the "driving mum's Corsa" days (hey we've all been there).

I volunteered to get new tyres fitted, had really bad rears so I had Goodyears put on up front and the rears left on

Damn, that thing could get outta shape in the corners...

i think its me who jon441cc is talking about here.
ive got nothing but good press for the nokian NRZi's i have on the back of my avant, its only step of oversteer and its so predictable, im that impressed that im changing my goodyear F1's which i have on the front.
