    New Scooby 2.5L

    Guys,

one of my mates is buying a new scooby and is bragging that he will kick my **** round silverstone when we get to go together.

Remembering that I will have a 3B engine with 7A cams by then. How far of the mark am I going to be????

    Cheers

I have a really big competetive streak and don't like to be beaten by Jap cr*p.

Any hints or what to do's would come in handy. I don't know the power of the 3B yet as WAB is rolling roading this sat.

What power levels should I look for. 300 - 350?

I believe it will be the STI, But I also think he will not be able to afford the new 2.5L engined version so will be a couple of years old. (the model after the frog eyed one!!!!) but I can'r remeber if these had a 2.5L or just the 2L. Anyway he is after an STI anyway.

        they where 2 liter

They had stock 265 and could go to 330 with chip! He is a bit lighter than you so if he is stock with 300 PS you got him easy!

Right 300+ is what I am aiming for then. He isn't going to tune it and is going to buy a stock one as he feels a tuned one will have been murdered by some young punk (like himself) and will tune it to about 330 max he has said for insurance purposes and he thinks they are powerful enough (that won't last long). But cheers for the good news.
