Putting the little parts together in order to finally get my Coupe running... She should be ready to roar in a couple of weeks... I hope that it will be before all the snow melts !!

At least the engine should start by the end of the week...

I can resist everything but temptation itself ( I'm feeling very wise this morning )
but my banker is starting to pull this face when I tell him that my overdraft will be under control next month due to purchasing S2/RS2/Porsche parts... He's been hearing the same excuse for almost 6 months

Go on Ross, buy everything you want/need and then let your banker find you a solution.

R33Girl, you're credit to all girls tuning cars, I wouldn't have dared doing that IM red colored and shiny polished but with the genetic help of that thing we all call 'feminine intuition' the end result is FANTASTIC

Where did you see it ??? It was a real lucky find ! It has been sleeping in the guy's garage for about 2 years so he decided to sell it... but now I think he regrets it hahaha :mischeif:

EBay, RS2 breakers and www.tots.ch are the places I'd look for one.

I found mine on eBay. On average, one comes for auction every 2-3 months... But they are expensive second hand bits as lots of people want them ! Sometimes the second hand price is only like 100 GBP - 150 EUR less than the new price.

New, I would say got to our beloved site sponsor VAG Parts.

on my local VW board (www.ottawa-vdubbing.com) i'm known as the guy with no automotive sense whatsoever (i own a corrado vr6 and a CQ) so when i was havin issues with my coupe someone forwarded me the sale thread from montreal racing. i wanted to jump on it but my corrado is pretty damn clean and serves the purpose of the summer car and that coupe is waaaaaaaaay too nice to be demoted to winter use.

how much work was left to do? from the emails we exchanged, didn't seem like a whole lot left, plumbing and plugging a few wires and that was it...true?

definitly need to show the sucker off when its done cuz lemme tell everyone here that is a super super clean car!

that coupe is waaaaaaaaay too nice to be demoted to winter use.

To me, keeping a quattro inside the garage during winter is pure waste. That baby is gonna be my daily driver, even more during snowstorms !!

As for the work left on the car, well some parts were missing so that was mainly what took so long (such as the wiring harness..) besides the fact that I had to wait for my mechanic to finish his Coupe first !
