Last year before buying the A6 my dad came across this... and went on a little test drive...
The one we drove isn't on mobile anymore but just to give an idea of what it looked like...
It costed 25000 euros with only 50.000 kilometres on the clock..
A Maserati Quattroporte 3.5 V8 Biturbo with 335 bhp!
Maserati's are good. Well built and cheap second hand performance cars... A bit bling, bling IMHO but I really like their classy style and gorgeous interiors !
But they're SOOOO high maintenance that an S2 is cheap compared. Friend of mine had a 222 Bi-Turbo and after 2 years and about 6000 euros down the drain, he threw in the towel and then got screwed again coz the depreciation hadn't stopped while he had owned it...
Had a BiTurbo a few years ago as a "winter hack" to save my ageing VW's from the winter salt. OTT on the comfort! The seats were like a pair of sofas! Cartier clock on the dash as well! Has to replace the exhaust and got a full stainless system for 200 notes which ain't bad at all (was 2nd hand though!) and had to replace the fuse box (a very common problem apparently) and tht cost £102. It only had 53,000 on the clock.
Would love the Ghibli GT or the Shamal (which has been the top of my car wish list for the last 5 years!)
True true........Italian cars have a "bad" reputation. A friend of mine has a Lancia Delta Evo 1 and the shell needs some serious welding since the seams around have started to crack up Too bad since its a very rare car here in Norway!! Very fun to drive but it doesnt have the same quality feel as many other cars.
