    Porker Carrera S?

    Hey guys-

Well, got into it a bit on the M4; just wondered if anyone here knows much about this beast? I believe it was a Carrera 4S... it had a quad exhaust anyhow. It was a damn good looking beast and sounded nice too! 2 inside lanes were closed on the M4, he was right behind and decided to make a dash to get round me before the roadworks. Needless to say, 3rd gear was employed, and he didn't make it out of my rear mirror

Interested to know what yr/model porsche it was though, always did like 'em... I'm guessing he could've given it a bit more - don't think he expected much response from my old Audi

    Porsches are always good fun
But don't take on if it has pop up headlights and RUF number plate
Still, had a gas and got thumbs up from him

Guy in a Carrera 4 got done by not just one S2, but four of them on the way to chester last year he bottled it at 150 Bet he was on the phone to his dealer to have it booked in for a checkup

It's even better when they don't realise what hit them

I still often use the pics graham B took as a wallpaper of this little race on that private, leeds bypass road Waisted by 4 10-12 yr old cars must have put a bit of a crimp on what would otherwise have been a dam fine day for him

I had a Carrera 4 on my morning test track a while back. As above he bottled it at 150.

The '04 911 Turbo is another kettle of fish altogether. I had one come up behind me at light speed (didn't realise it was a turbo at the time) so I gave it some. At 150-160 he was all over me and when a gap in the inside lane came up he cut in and went round me like I was standing still I checked the spec of it and they are good for 190+ so I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad.

            A 993 4S (my favourite) has 250BHP
            A 996 4S has either 300 or 320BHP depending on the year.
            A 997 4S has 355BHP
            A '04 Turbo (996) has 420BPH

All have 4 wheel drive and I wouldn't throw any of them out of my garage for dripping oil on the floor

                £114 i wish! £114K

I was surprised the figures for the turbo are substantially better than the new GT3, though the GT3 in my opinon sounds much better! Dont get me wrong i love the sound of a turbo, but the NA just sounds awsome!
Been trying to figure out how to scrape £114K together for a top spec turbo, could sell the house and live in it, i would let everyone have a sit and a ride, in exchange for hot showers at their house!

I agree totaly thats always been my fav one, the best lines. It's how a porsche should look! Well now that ive cut my budget in half, i can't see why i shouldnt get it
Dam if only i had that sort of money under my bed! I think ive cought the Porka bug this last year.
If i remember did they not do that version with a long nose which was increadibly rare, saw one i'm sure on ebay a couple of months ago.

As I pulled off at the next junction, he hurtled past. Didn't catch the plate, but it was a new shape. And definitely had quad exhausts. And tho i couldn't read the badging I'm sure it was a carrera - only the S has quad exhaust, right?

                        Is the jury convinced?

I had a carrera4 S for the evening last year and i felt it would waste my s2 also had a 996 for a couple of weeks and that felt more on par ,with the push button gears on the C4S you just fly.The quad exhaust are an optional tail pipe trim not cheap either.
