    Software

    Guys,

Where do i get the family album software from? ET*A is it?

Also, where do I get the software that allows me to pull fault codes from my aby ?

Do i have to pay for any of these?

    or here

Not sure about fault codes, although there is a page on S2Central detailing how to get the codes.

You could always ask me to fire up VAGCOM

There is only one VAG-COM surely from the ross-tech site. Needs to be authorised version to get benefit of data-logging and Group 0 access.

Ski, just be carfeul with purchasing Etka on the bay of fleas as some of the copies are...

                A. Old and therefore don't give you current info on deleted/superseeded parts
                B. USA versions which don't really cover our cars
                C. Just not very good as they sometimes crash
S2 Avant......fully loaded   Slipper Wagons Rule !!!!!

Any version works just fine on the S2. You can download the latest version of VAGCOM software for free from www.ross-tech.com but you will need a cable/interface for it to work. Beware of the cables/interfaces for sale on the bay of fleas because they often don't perform correctly.

You will also need a cable/interface which has the 2x2 connector/adaptor.
