the gearstick seems to jump around alot when i take up drive or drive the car , i had this since i bought the car?

Gearbox / engine mounts are shagged!
Also try the snub mount.

i get a bit of this too.the snub mount was right at the top and looked like it had been for years.bet it's torn the gearbox mount then.but then my sump sits about 5mm off the subframe so engine mounts might be f*cked too.mint.
