You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
someone goes to all that trouble and then paints it a matt grey!!!.....a nice metallic pearl black/blue/anything but grey would have been a bit better....
What do you think??....
My thoughts exactly. Really really poor choice of colour... Shame.

Supposed to be grey pearl so perhaps it's the pictures/light that aren't doing it any favours. Love the simplicity of the look though and those rims really suit the coupe well. Seen them on a couple over here ehrn trawing the web, what can you get them off with 5x112 as the TT ones are obviously 5x100 and therefore won't fit. A6/A8?

Yep, less is more in this case. These were fitted to the V8 A6 as standard I think. Can you supply links/pics to the other Coupes with the competition rims fitted please Andy?
I thought he said they were off an A6 4.2 v8......

TT ones are called competition the A6 ones are called Competiton or Parabola. They are standard fitment for the A6 4.2 V8 which is a far more common site in the states than here in blighty. I think they were offered as an option for the A4 too though I can't be certain.
yeah the gauze for the air filter is a tad dodgy and it is a real shame about the colour, IMO just doesn't suit the car, the pearlescent grey/silver on the S2 look lovely tho...
Think i'd be buying some bulk alacantra trim to cover the wood up once and for all too. Hats off for a great project motor though
