        To expand a bit more......

Diamond Star Motors (DSM) was a joint effort between Mitsubishi and Chrysler's Eagle and Plymouth divisions. This partnership is responsible for producing the Eclipse, Talon and Laser which we refer to on this site as DSM cars.

Ever wonder what year/model that DSM was that passed you up on the way home? We've put together a simple guide pointing out the significant mechanical and styling changes of both the first generation (referred to as 1g - 90-94) and second generation (referred to as 2g - 95-99) DSM cars.

Produced the Eagle Talon and another vehicle that escapes me.

It used mitsubishi's 4363 Block which was a 2.0 block that came turbo charged on certain applications.

Very good platform but is relativly inexpensive and parts are everywhere for this car which is why they are so popular. People have gotten some very serious numbers out of this block and its very popular at the drag strip.

Personally, I have one myself. I race rally with mine though. Here's a pic.

They produced a FWD and an AWD version. Both were available with a 14b Turbo.

Below is my 2.0T AWD Talon.
