Merc AMG C36\C43

Has anyone had any experiance with either of these cars ,they are rare,ones got a 3.6
straight 6 the other is a 4.3 v8 made from 94-2000 cheers.

Before I bought my S2 I looked at C36s. I wanted a 4 door FAST car. THe fact that it was a saloon put me off. They are available as estates but you need to add another couple of grand onto the asking price for one!

They're not easily moddable - at least under the bonnet. AMG don't leave a job half finished. If there's power to extract then they'll do it. Maybe the C43 could be tweaked a little bit more. It had 3000BHP from a 4.3 litre against 286BHP from the 3.6litre lump.

They also look a bit dated on the inside. Otherwise - very nice cars.

I have a C36, next to the S2 were my favourite cars..............La difference is that the AMG is automatic gear and I do not like, single I use for trips with the family and the S2 to pass it well to me.

They are a nice car, but are more of a GT (cruiser). Like a subtle M3

It is certain that y`para is a car for the family to make great cruises , but for my is little sport...........
The S2 has but it rages, although the C36 does not remain short.

Already that they are cars that cannot be compared because they are different concepts.
Although they are my different cars and each one gives satisfaction me. The AMG, accelerates like an airplane, is linear without becoming weak with an exaggerated force , the S2 is but abrupt and but fast .
My wife says that in the S2 she hurts the neck to him of the abrupt thing that is............ for that reason it likes but the AMG and cofashion feels but in.

I drove an early M3 and that was a linear power delivery and didnt feel as brutal as the s2 but was probably as quick ,i do prefer the mid range wallop of the s2 though.

T2Andy, we have the same likings by the type of car .......DELTA INTEGRALE, FORD SIERRA COSSWORD, FIAT 131 ABARHT, SPORT SEAT 124 (a clasicc little known in UK).
Whatever ilusion to have them all, hurts that there is site no to keep them nor money to buy them .
