In the stages of human visual processing a trait known as the 'urge to organise' can pretty much explain most of these 'ghostly' type images and other instances such as Jesus' face in a spiced bun or whatever. Basically, the brain hates to have ambiguous information and so forces a 'known' object on one which fits most of the visual data but is so poor in information that it is mistaken. Other examples less 'supernatural' are spotting shapes in clouds or flames of a fire. Also, the human information processing chain utilises 'expectancy' more than you may think. This is done to speed up the process of object recognition but also leads to mistakes. In this case, a spooky house with some history leads you to expect to see ghosts and so present someone with ambiguous data and thus a ghost.

I totally agree with you that you may not move in that house if you're that suspicious about it. There may or may not be any paranormal activity in there, but go with your first impression and feeling about the house and don't listen to those idiots with their drug stories !!

These ''ghosts'' may only be your mind telling you in its way not to move in that house.

First impression is always the best.. stick with it !

can i just say i would camp there any day,some of u take the p**s out of her but has anyone seen the york tunnel vid of two lasses with the ghosts.and a place near skipton called carlton,there a wood in the wood is a lake at the side of the lake is a house the family disapeared one night packed there clothes and left,never came back.
things happened in the wood that noone can explain,about 5 of us have experianced thing up there too and no iam not on drugs or booze as iam t total.myself and my mate got arrested by the mod mp`s one night up there and cautioned,for tresspassing on mod land.ya right.not mod land.the police also arrested one of my other mates there and he saw something and got it on his phone they took his phone off him deleted the images and told him it never happened.
people belive wot they want to,when ya in a house n get a feeling then its time to walk.same if you are in a place you dont like.same goes for everyone on here come to carlton woods with me one night and we will have a walk round.

Don't recall anything about those woods, but had a scary night out at Wycoller Hall many years ago. Helped me cop off with a lass if I remember correctly.

I grew up in Keighley (for my sins) - know Oakbank well. My Mum taught there for a short while.
