    Dealer Parts Only???

    Hi All,

Following a recent service I need the following parts. Not sure if I can get them anywhere other than main dealer and an indication of cost would be helpful.. thanks guys...

    * OS Front Roll Bar Link - Part No: FD-LS-4114?
    * Hydraulic Fluid Leaking (Power Steering)- Sphere or Pipe Near Sphere
    * OS Rear Bulb Holder Very Rusty/Corroded - New Bulb Holder Required
    * Washer Jet Pump Failure - Part No: 4AO-955-651
    * Service Book - For Continuation of Service History (Current Fully Stamped)

Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated...

    Chris

      1 - 8A0 407 465 - £35inc VAT, would recommend new nuts as well, N 021 195 5 - £0.66 each and you'd need 2 of.
GSF also sell these and are OEM parts and are about £15 each from memory, again you would need the nuts as they dont come with. I recently fitted 2 new ones from GSF and they are the real deal so would get these if i were you.

2 - G002000 is the PAS Fluid, again from GSF, not sure of cost
3 - 895 945 222 (221 for passenger side, assuming RHD Car) - £25 inc VAT (Drivers side) I just done both of mine due to corossion as well
4 - Pump is £50.51 from stealer, ebay perhaps, breakers, or maybe GSF?
      5 - Service book - Dealer probably?

These part numbers assume ABY Coupe, rear light holder would be different for an Avant.

Thanks for that, much appreciated.. it is an ABY RHD Coupe so thats great info there. Do you know much about the Power Steering Sphere (part no/cost). I can order some fluid also..

I'm not either but my mechanic told me its not visible from the looking under the bonnet. It can be accessed by removing one of the front wheels, which one I do not know! As you can tell i'm not very technical! He showed me one off of a BMW and that one looks like black container, like a bomb used by the coyote to kill roadrunner in the cartoons!!!!

Yeah...its a bit of a bummer to get to if the bottom mount is rusted in like mine was

its called a hydraulic Pressure Accumulator AKA "the bomb" and I have just replaced mine...
Pixie hands and thin arms needed for the job (and mine arent which made it a sod!)

New Bomb // best price i got was from Vagparts and it came in at £201 inc delivery

They are NOT a cheap item sadly..... but rather important for effective braking.....

              hth

//NOTE// DONT go for reconditioning the old unit as I almost took this route (costs £75+vat + carriage x2 @ £10 each way) = £115-120 and found out at last minute that the Diaphragm within the unit becomes porous over time (circa 7 years) so even if teh one place that can refill them does so the pressure will leak out over 3-6 months meaning replacement all over again!!
