    Fun in the lakes

Long weekend in the lakes... just couldn't let it go without giving Wyrnose and Hardknott Passes a go.

The picture really doesn't do justice to the terrain and road - or how much water there was around the place

At least the amount of rain proved beyond reasonable doubt that the time spent re-sealing the rear lights has done the job properly

    Ck.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

Seems you must have had a good time, but how did you keep the car so clean? She's looking good though!

      Thank you

And to answer the question: errrrmmm... flattering camera angle more than anything I think!

Did give large parts a damn good polish the weekend before. Waiting to do some bits (e.g. the bottom parts of the doors until when I have the bottom rubber/plastic trim off for replacement), but getting round the car slowly.

Ahh, you have never truely driven until you have monstered it over those 2 fabulous roads

I once drove up through little Langdale to meet some friends staying there, but their directions were a tad vague so I crossed both passes, only for them to ring and say that they were on the other side, so I had to turn around and drive them again....it was FABULOUS!! It was a late summers evening, no traffic, road was still warm...heaven

        Cheers n

The Lake District is truly amazing and only a half hour drive from me! I often take my
S2 there for drives and its so scenic, peaceful and roads are generally quiet.. good pic!!
          Missing her lots!

The road from Kendal up through Windermere to Keswick is fantastic, and if you carry on heading for Carlisle you get lots of mile long straights to plant it on! Great fun!

Nice pic CK Did you not try Kirkstone Pass?
Another great road is the B5284 from Kendal to Windermere

Summer is always better, especially when the weather is nice. And there's loads of places to camp in the Lakes
