A good friend of me has an 96 model S6 SMS Revo-S saloon. It is number 13 built........if you want some more pics i can take some EDIT: Found some pics on the net when my friend had an ad out for the car. Poor quality some of them im afraid.

But you see the small sticker that sits on the car with the part numbers of the "upgraded" stuff I like the "Limited Edition Nr. 13"

                    Mmmm..
                    What's 1500 euros in real money(£)!
Seriously though, without doubt that is in my opinion the best thought out replacement manifold. Shame it is not still commerically available.
Not that the other manifolds MTM/Wagner/034 Efi don't deliver, but they are relatively expensive and not a weekend bolt on job.
As a community we ought to set up a fund to purchase such rarities with a view to er .. reverse engineering them!
It's interesting that Cosworth produces a very well thought out manifold for the new Duratec engines that cost around £800. I appreciate that there are economies of scale, but I guess there is a market out there for a quality, well thought out manifold that can be swopped out in a weekend sub £1000!

I think the 1500 Euros is way too expensive for an IM! Plus some people say that the SMS chamber is too small!

in the next time we will se some good manifolds for our 5 cyl! A team has thoughts about an new Dahlback like manifold, Olsonjus will also make one (hope he makes it in Two Chamber design) like the SMS and the new dahlback one!

By the way the Dahlback 1,8 Liter engine DP cast manifold (lehman Copy) and the Cosworth duratec one look very nice!

I think if someone will make the mesurements and models to build a DP IM once he could built very fast many of them! And i am sure if the price is much lower than the Wagner, 034 ect then he could sell more than 20-30 pieces!

I am sure if the production is well designed then the Production cost for something like it will be about 300 Euros! It has 2 flanges and the velocity stacks that are costy! Every else is Fuel rail bolts, Injector seats, cheap Metall sheets and welding!

Maybe i am wrong but its just my opinion!

Perhaps what is needed is a clean sheet design taking advantage of the various computer programmes that model flow etc.
It does seem to be something of a "Black Art". I was looking at some pics of that 25V engine the other day and that had very long runners and not a lot of plenum volume!
Guess everything is a compromise. Needs to fit the engine bay whilst still delivering the gain we expect.
One thing for sure, Audi and indeed Porsche, certaintly had some strange ideas. We will forgive Porsche as at least they redesigned the exhaust manifold. However sticking a Porsche legend on the inlet hardly counts as redesigned in my book!

Interesting looking IM on another post

looks like large capacity and being turned on side like that utilising space very well
                              Cheers
