Coming home from shopping today whith my wife in the car and came up behind my son in his new a3 2lt turbo ,[very nice car by the way] chanced on a nice straight and he was of like a scolded cat so I did likewise and could make little or no impression may be a yard or so in third if that, now I no there is a big differance in weight and I was 2 up and loaded with shopping but having driven the a3 it dosent feel as powerfull as my s6 the gearing on the a3 is very well balanced but the gears feel very short a bit like a close ratio gear box and consequentualy the engine seems very lively but u dont get the thrust an lift that you get in the s6 I wonder if any one else has had any exsperiances with the current a3 2lt t or golf I would be interested in your comments cheers ,Lou

The new 2.0 FSI turbo-engines are great engines in fact!! But remember the A3 is a light car compared to an S6 which weighs awhole lot more!! So an A3 with 200 hp compared to an S6 with 230 hp i wouldnt bet my money on the S6........but the A3 has only 4 cylinders
Fivebanger is the best engine Audi ever made in my opinion

this
is not fair play, our oldies are to heavy, but the 5rs are the most solid engines ever built from audi, the new 2,0ltr though is pretty fizzty when chipped, and abt has allready put out 308hp from one
so it will be nice to see the development

I'll second that! I too struggled with a 2.0 FSI in my S4 before my visit from MRC. I can now safely say that this is no longer an issue! :mischeif:Originally posted by iain1067One way to redress the balance is a visit to MRC, game on me thinks but don't tell your son!!!
Trouble is that I've just moved up a level and instead of A3s and type Rs, I'm now tryin to play with evos and M3s
I can feel the next tuning step getting ever closer!!
