some sort of test or not?

now that my shorty is almost ready .does anyone know if i have to take it for a special test like sva or something ?
because its shortened i wonder if it has to go through some sort of safety test to prove its safe enough for the road .i went to my local mot station but the inspector wasn't sure .

MAtey I believe that it has to go for a TUV test ( I think that is what they are called) the same sort of test as for importing a car from another country and also for Kit cars.

                        Yeah
                        SVA is needed mate.....
and it's a total beatch from what Im told...

A mate of mine builds kit cars and has told me that the test goes into the minutest detail.

Just make sure theres no sharp edges and all the welding and bracing is spot on....should be A1 then
