    Testdrove my first S2 yesterday

On paper and in pictures I knew I wanted one, but needed the chance to see how they drove/looked in the metal to confirm my yearns!

So, as they are so far and wide to find for sale, I simply picked the nearest one (which happened to also look pretty good and be near enough in my price range as it goes)

First impressions were very good, but after a good look over afew little bits and bobs were spotted which IMO made it alittle over priced. (A couple of little rips on the seats, afew scratches on the bumper, little dent on the wing, needs a good inside valet etc)

It was advertised as 280bhp, which after driving I would say it was definitly not!
My current car (Cavalier Turbo) is 276bhp confirmed on the rollers, and the pick up of the S2 was no where near as brutal or quick... so I asked the garage if they had paper work to show any mods. It was then the truth came out, it was mearly an estimate by the last owner. (A rarer generous one at that, it would seem! LOL)

Aside from that, it drove very well, pulled nicely with no hesitation.
No rattles, creaks or nasty knocks.
Got back to the garage and left it idling while having another look at the engine etc for any sign of probs. The temp gauge didnt move either, which was good.
After a good run in my car it soon starts to climb when you park up and leave it running!

Overall, very impressed, and will definitly be buying one as soon as my car is gone! (Got a buyer 99% getting the cash within 2 weeks when he is paid)

Good thing is though with S2 you can fit RS2 exhaust manifold, RS2 turbo, intercooler, remap, few other bits and bobs like injectors etc and be well in to 350 hp ++++++++

Great cars and they are 4 wheel drive so no wheel spin (hardly)

//NOTE A PROPER REMAP FROM MRC OR SIMILIAR WILL TAKE YOU TO 280 REAL HP

Yeah, I shimply chose that one to look at as it was the nearest to me.
I recon it looked ok but is over priced for the condition
