    London to Brighton

    I love living here.....

In the last few weeks we've had London > Brighton runs for:

    Jaguars
    2CVs
    MG

    Today was Lamborghinis:

and over the rest of the summer we've got
    Minis
    'classic sports cars'
    speed trials
    Smart cars
    Aircooled VW
    Ace Cafe
    Land Rover
    Veteran Cars

OK so it would be nearer Bruntingthorpe for inters - but with this lot on the doorstep......who cares!

Just a shame that some people think its OK to paintball passing cars (see green Diablo)

Ahh the Countach, i had a picture of one on my wall as a kid until i finally got brought for a spin in one. I was never so disappointed in a car in all my life, it was a horrid thing, so badly made it was a wonder they ever sold any, hopeless visibility, gearbox like a tractor and a clutch so damn heavy i was physically unable to press it. I was so gutted i tore the poster down and had a Ferrari Dino on my wall for years after

The classic / sports car one was 11 june I'm afraid!
Next is the speed trials on 9 sept.

regarding the countach being hopeless - you wouldn't buy one expecting a motoring masterpiece! It's a raw piece of enginieering with a design icon bolted on top. The owners I met were first to admit the car's problems - but were hopelessly in love with the car (as a whole).

Fantastic car. Who cares if you have to open the door & sit on the sill to reverse it!

but something I've not yet worked out is - what is this I saw attached to the front wheels? Aluminium spacer vents pop riveted to a carbon fibre formed cone type panel. Very odd..........

Maybe some saddo trying to protect the alloys on a pristine concours car??
There is a hole cutout for tyre valves so it looks like a semi permanent attachment at least...

Integrale with out a doubt, those disks on the wheels direct air onto the brakes, all deltas ran these on tarmac rallies in the hotter countries.
