I was recommended to Adrian Flux and they were way cheaper than Liverpool Victoria, who other than the price hike for my policy I couldnt fault! Found them great so far & they seem to know S2's too which helps!

      cheers

I was surprised to find my best quote was with elephant. I'm 24 with 3 years NCB and they did it for just shy of £600. However, I'm wary that they probably don't know anything about S2's and have read lots of horror stories on this forum about people getting £3K for a write off. Considering I spent well over twice that on mine then i'm going to make sure I get an 'agreed value' with my next insurance compnay (renewal due next month) like a lot of other people on here recommend.

Just keep hunting, you'll get loads of silly quotes but don't give up.

Beware paying monthly with Adrian Flux as a mate of mine had 21 days to buy a new car when he sold his 200SX. He didn't find his next car within that time and they stung him for over £400. Other than that they're a good company.

Compare insurance for your car, home, van, bike, life and more at Confused.com.

I went there with a previous best quote of almost £600, got a renewall best price through confused of about 1/2 that.

            Shop around!

I'm paying £800 fully comp with elephant

I'm 22 with 2 years no claims which i think isn't a bad price. Best thing to do is shop around. Do some quotes online then give them a call, they will always be able to give you at least a 5% discount.

I'm with Norwich Union and they have me fully comp with business cover too for £600 and I'm in my late 20's...that was through confused.com

They're worth using as my old insurance company wanted over a grand even though the car was worth 10 times less than my old car! Sharks!

                    Beware of elephant.co.uk

They're nice and cheap for a reason. That is that they value an S2 at between £2500 and £3000!

If its modified then you take the mods back off and replace them with the original kit otherwise they take them as well, but don't pay you for them.

since i was 21, best deal i got is with tesco. I now pay £1700 @ 24 with 4yrs no claims.

Bo be honest, when I was 21.. 22.. tesco were the only ones who offered to insure me, rest refused due to the catogary of the car.

Adrian Flux quoted me £540 and I'm 24 with 7 years NCB.
Last year (23 with 6 years NCB) with Elephant.co.uk was £590.
The joys of living in rural Gloucestershire!

Will be going with Adrian Flux (with the mods insured on a like for like basis ) unless HIC can better it, which I severly doubt.
AF wouldn't do an agreed value policy though as it wasn't classic insurance.

Quite scary reading about insurance quotes. I'm still 20 and they want 2.3k atm, so am going to wait for my birthday in early september and it will be around £1200. What happens if you say that you payed 7k for your car, how come they dont pay out this much, suposing that the value of the car is this? (I'm sure that they won't pay out 7k 2years later, but suposing you renew your insurance and tell them that the value of the car is 5k (when it asks for it in the quotation), and then say you write it off a day later, surely they should pay you 5k, as u insured it as a 5k car???!!!??) So annoying!

And another thing to rant about, is NCB's. Everyone is affraid to loose them and concequently no1 claims on anything under about 800 quid! Such a scam dont u think? Its insurance blackmail!
...ever since I floored you I knew that I loved you!
