1996 audi a4 1.8t aeb tuning?

hi my dad has a 1996 a4 20v turbo aeb code what sort of engine mods could i do to it
can a ko4 turbo go on easily and what sort of power ?

hi there mate. this is a real 20 valve turbo forum not 1.8p's!!u cud start off with a BLUE WASHER JET CONVERSION, which wont break the bank then follow up to that is sum 3 spoke hub caps. this can all be sourced from ur local performance specialists HALFRAUDS!! AS for speed in that coke can of urs change ur dump valve with a triple piston blitz adjustable BLING BLING WOOOOSH WOOOSH 1. HOPE THAT HELPS BRUV

I don't think that is a fair or reasonable response. The guy has asked a serious question, ok he may not have chosen the correct forum to ask on but I still do not think it fair of you to label him as you have.
It is still an Audi at the end of the day and an engine that can be made to do some serious hp also.

Im not sure about the turbo mate but it may well go on.....

I must admit to being a bit new with the 1.8T engine.
I have a Mk2 Golf in the workshop that we are rebuilding with a 225hp TT lump and installing one of 034's stage IIc ecu packages on and am using this as a bit of a test bed to learn a bit more about these engines, it's all in the name of development.
Traction will be the main issue what with it only being fwd but should pick her skirts up and haul *** to the horizon quite nicely.

A word of warning, if you have a 1.8T Audi/VW engine do oil changes every 4/5000 miles and use engine flush. I have seriously forgotten how many engine rebuilds I have seen at work due to blocked oil pump pick ups!

There are a few members on here with experience of these engines who may be able to post other helpful information.

To my knowledge tho, the K04 does fit, im not sure what else is required if anything to make this fit, a suitable remap of these basic components tho should allow something like 280bhp i believe, altho im only assuming it has the same potential as all other 1.8T's, this might not be the case.

KO4 turbo and S3 / RS4 manifold iirc for 300+ barrier.

Best bet though would be a K03S turbo and remap for 280 bhp.

I dont think there's any need for that attitude.

It's a common question, infact Audiman, 4wheeldrifter and Doug_RS2 have cars with mapped 1.8t engines in their stables.
