Fuel gauge Question.....or fao Ant :-)

hello again, enjoying the ownership of another S2
not been online, as had to get phone line sorted out.
atm can only get normal thing & runnin 46.6kbps and i aint got patience with
it as its sooooo slow.
Anyway (ant you may know, lol) FUEL on E ????
It shows top of red mark, but a bit spluttey, lucky i got it back on the drive.
24hr petrol stations are hard to find up here

Also will it be fine to do an ecu reset with it having a thingy (as we aint got that tesco fuel)

Sounds strange, ive never had any issues with the fuelling of the car, or it spluttering at all, usually put more in somewhere mid red area, altho have let it go further down in the past when struggling to find a petrol station.... can confirm it will go all the way to the bottom of the red without running out of fuel lol! I never ran out totally tho ever.

The E thing ive never really paid a lot of attention to anyway, i knew what mileage to expect from the amount of fuel going in so went more on that than anything else.

It also had a new fuel filter fitted when i done the suspension a few months ago so that shouldnt cause you any issues either.

ECU reset is fine to do, its the 2 Motronic fuses on the fusebox, they are joined with a red plastic cover.

ok thanks, am lovin the car...... more of a beast than i expected :mischeif:

so i just pull the them fuses, as you said (leave it 10mins or longer ?)

Yeh it did go well thats for sure! Fuses out for a minute or 2 will be enough.
