1. Since when can you sell a car on har far out you can stick its **** on a wet track?
2. Drifting is illegal and dangerous on the road.
3. The Audi has traction and therefore safety. The BMW is just dangerous in the wet.
4. They had to put in drifting coz that is all the BMW could win
5. What sort of numpty describes the Audi as 'sure footed' and the BMW as 'twitchy' but makes it sound like a critism of the Audi.
6. The Audi was faster around the track and Tiff was described as out for a Sunday drive, whilst Plato (******) admitted having to fight the car all the way.
7. On the road, ALL CARS UNDERSTEER!! Even BMW's. So that is what the average driver expects to happen as they enter a corner a tad fast. What they don't expect is snap oversteer (available from all BMW's) - making it a more dangerous car in the hands of the Mr Joe public.

3. The Audi has traction and therefore safety. The BMW is just dangerous in the wet. I like dangerous cars ! Why do you think I'm going for a power upgrade ? To get to the limit with my Avant !
4. They had to put in drifting coz that is all the BMW could win. Nope, not true, coupe cars look better ( I don't think you'll argue as you have a coupe
) and the M3 looks sportier than a sedan, so...
5. What sort of numpty describes the Audi as 'sure footed' and the BMW as 'twitchy' but makes it sound like a critism of the Audi. No, that's not all he said, he said he was having "more fun". The fun factor is important to enjoy a car, wouldn't you agree ?
6. The Audi was faster around the track and Tiff was described as out for a Sunday drive, whilst Plato (******) admitted having to fight the car all the way. Well, let's put it this way, on the starting line 4wd gave Tiff a head start, that he maintained but didn't increase along the track so actually, that's very good for the M3 because it means that with only RWD, it could keep up with the best AWD 4 door sedan available on the market. No argument possible here...

Mr. Joe Public doesn't buy powerful Bimmers, only people who know how to drive RWD cars do. They're not a glorious bunch but hey, Audi drivers aren't perfect either.... or do they think they are ?

lol (again) Don't get me wrong, I own a 1967 Triumph with little rear end grip which I can drift all day long. However, even a boyracer style motoring program is supposed to concentrate on real life driving capabilities, even if they include the track. Drifting is a growing sport, but not a track and DEF not a road attribute.

lol sell the S2 and buy a widow maker (M3) then...see, you can't, you like the traction.

Err, sorry, now I am lost. This is a motoring program about high perf road cars, not a flower arranging program. The test was all about which car was best, not which looks lovely in a cute shade of pink!
5. What sort of numpty describes the Audi as 'sure footed' and the BMW as 'twitchy' but makes it sound like a critism of the Audi.

Yes on the track of course, but even owners of £50K cars don't track them every day. What he should have said was 'Tiff is finding it easier to drive very fast and safely'
6. The Audi was faster around the track and Tiff was described as out for a Sunday drive, whilst Plato (******) admitted having to fight the car all the way.

Agreed, most of his advantage came from the launch...isn't that what 4WD does? Had the track been water logged it may have continued to grow, but since it was a flowing dry track, the diff was minimal....fair enough. But remember for every flowing track, there are many more traffic lights, tight bends and wet roads to consider
I still do not see a situation in which the BMW would ever be 'better' (apart from at said flower arranging class).
