Take out excess weight (sub woofers, petrol, etc!) before you go for your run.

Drop the clutch in at 4500rpm, floor the b*gger and red line it and hope for the fastest gear changes you've ever done!

You could also consider lowering your tyre pressures just a touch, and whilst you want to have your engine warmed up so you don't kill it with that redline action, don't have the car sitting there ticking over for 20mins before you go on the strip - you want cool intake temperatures! Maybe throw a load of dry ice over the intercooler like they do in F1?!

    Main thing is have fun...

When we are there we have to go over the scrutineering and get a few other bits from there. 30 means you're the 30th person to sign up. I have 4 runs booked too.

Gonna take some weight out of mine before hand and stick in someone elses car hopefully. Might take the drivers headlight out too.

Problem I always have is 1st to 2nd gear change when you booting it. Im thinking after this GTI a new clutch will probably be required.
