I think u have to look at opposition when drawing your conclusions on England. OK Paraguay and T&T are not the best sides but all they planned to do when they played England is stop us scoring and no matter how good u are or how bad they are to break 11 men down is very very hard to do. When we play Argentina, Brazil and so on they will try and beat us which will leave the spae for England to show what they can really do.
@Bibby, dissagree about sven he should have realised after 25 mins that we did not 4 at the back marking 0. He should have brought Lennon on after 30 mins taking off carragher then we would have beaten them more convincingly.

We here in the States are awed by the 3Lions squad!....

But the observations made here are quite valid and with merit. Sven should have realized early in the match after watching his performance in the first game that Owen is just not fit. He's a step too slow and is a bad fit with
Crouch. Inserting Rooney & Lennon made a hell of a difference! The power of the English attack came from the right side mostly. Lennon, Beckam, Lampard with Rooney as ideal decoy leaving Crouch as the go too man.
Gerrad realizing the T&T were backpeddaling came up from his holding position and used his cannon shot
to great success (something Lampard was not) . Thank God for John Terry!
Sol Campbell would have NEVER made that play. Bring on the rest.
