Dont u just love the porsche driver!

Today was going to get my results to my MRI (which was bad news ) when in the distance i spot a nice black Carrera up ahead with his roof down shades on and so on, u know the picture. Anyway coming down the main road i finally was up behind him at a roundabout just before a dual carraigeway then a motorway So i thought ill give it a go. Off the roundabout we both floored and yes he pulled slighlty away from by about half a car, then we reached the next roundabout. He looked in the mirror to see this K reg audi was still on his tail So he tried again up the motorway slip road and again the old girl kept me within touching distance. U cant beat that when u have kept up with the Rich bloke in his supercar (or so he thinks)

Although its not in the same league, I was infront of a Z3 the other day, pootling along and noticed that he'd come up behind me rather quickly. We went round a roundabout and then I had that feeling as we were pulling onto the dual carriageway that he was sticking as far right as he could to keep his bonnet focused on the right hand lane as he was coming off the roundabout... So i unleased the fury and totally totally abliterated him...to the extent that I thought he wasnt even accelerating. When I backed off at about 80, 10 seconds later he came past me doing about 85, whilest being in the outside lane all that time!!! Needless to say I had the last laugh (alan partridge) as he came past without even moving an eye in my direction! It was a 2.5 too, not exactly slow...

Gotta love the unassuming, dark green N-reg Audi

I had a go at a Carrera Turbo on Sunday, when I got to 130 I decided that the game was a bit rich for me and let him continue chasing the fireblade he was gunning for...

It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.

porka drivers are the best they all think `piff its audi i can beat it but oh no thats wot the porkka driver thought goin down to stanford hall in a yellow 996,i kept up with him,to a unknown speed of about 137,then i bottled it,same with a rice burner in york on monday oppps sorry a evo 3.the turbo lag was mad i could run faster,he just nodded his head as i cainned him for a bit then turn off as he went pass.i know you guys have s2s/rs2`s,but i can have fun too so far only 2 regular cars have beat me round where i live and thats a skyline and and for some strange reason a new rs4,but i was proud i get left behind by that.

I was surprised how well I was able to keep up with a DB9 recently.

Between 70-130 he hardly got away at all.

However, on coming across a convertible Porsche Turbo later in the day, he left me in his dust.

See now thats all good, in a straight line, but round corners thats where porrkers really shine.
Also where you get to see some very very very good driving. But some porker drivers don't cus they think the wind'll scratch the car or something i dunno.

but yeah had a go at an old widow maker in my old 2.2 FWD, we just had lots of fun.
Tried it on with a red 996 in the V6, he clearly didn't know the roads at all :mischeif: . in the end when we got stuck behind traffic he didn't stop and just overtook 6cars and a bus in a row stupid but fast very fast and lucky.

The 911 Turbo is in a league of it's own.

I had the misfortune to get into a bit of tussle with one a few months back while traveling along the 35 mile private test track conveniently built between work and home. I was the wrong side of 160mph with the 911 all over my rear end, he then undertook me as if I was standing still.

I keep the Porsche Spec Sheet on my desk to remind me of the one that got away....

Had a great play with a carrera 2 down a twisty back road, he couldn’t shake me at all in my trusty 7A. Made me laugh at times though as i could see the rear end of his 911 getting a little out of shape and pushing the tail out on bends, me on the other hand was holding WOT laughing my *** off. Most he ever got was about 3-4 car lengths after each corner as i just cant compete with the mid range torque he had, by the next corner when he was braking and getting things settled i was able to charge up behind him and power through the apex up his bumper. He might have been able to push a little bit harder, but then again he could just as easy have made a 911 shape hole in the hedge going backwards I even got a wave at the end

Also had a DB9 chase me down a wet dual carriageway with a series of roundabouts, made a fool of him on each roundabout but he caught up on the straight bits, he was a LOT faster in a straight line. I could sense his frustration after the 3rd and 4th roundabout

Albeit not in a car, but I raced an '05 911 one night last year while on my bike (1000RR), and he wasn't afraid of gunning it!

We did J11-M23 to J4-M25 (home, outside my garage) in 16 mins! :mischeif:
