    Is this feasible?

A friend of mine has offered me his A6 Estate 30 Valve – V6 Quattro - none turbo,

It has failed the MOT only on emissions due to a collapsed CAT.
Audi diagnosed the car and said it was burning oil because the valve seals are leaking.
They quoted around £1000 for labor and replacement of all seals.
Does any one know how difficult a job it is to replace the valve seals?
I think the engine is a 3.0 twin DOHC around 220 BHP, The car is in average condition, very low mileage as it has only ever been used for moving animal feed around a farm,
It has had one owner from new and has Audi main dealer FSH
It also has full electric interior, air con etc etc etc..
He wants £350 for it – quite a barging IMO..

I think this would be a good project car,- but it all depends on the ease of doing the vale seals.

    Any thoughts..

    Thanks in advance.

    Bo.
