    S2 replacement

    Hi Guys.

If you wanted to upgrade form s2, what would you upgrade to?

I think its time for me to move on, but i cannot find any car that would serve me as the s2 does.

Im thinking s4, but, its saloon and i dont like the look of em (the 2.7 tt one).

    what would you have?

Well i have my eye on my dads S4, same engine bigger car. Would have to be a 911 though to tempt me away from the Quattro...

Could never buy another jap car, french and italian would only irritate me, and er guess that leaves german motors then...

I dunno price range really, 20 bags? If i am to move away from the s2 i would really want something a lot newer so it does'nt need as much maintanace. Its unbelivable how hard it is to find a mechanic that can carry out work on s2 without making balls of it all.

well, a subarue or a evo is too flashy for me. a plain s4 seems too dull.

wab not sure i can find a rs4 in immaculate condition for that cash can i? *opens autotrader*

well, i would definetly prefere a 2.7 tt rather than 4.2 non t.

Looking at s4's and rs4's atm. Theres just fk all out there that can compare to the s2

Specially that i spent a mini fortune on its handling, s4's wont compare!

S6 4.2 is easier to mantain than the 2.7tt and is quick enough.

If you thought the S2 was a mare the 2.7tt is an engine out for most jobs.

Went with my mate to Fountains to testdrive the Blue and Silver one they have in stock.

I took delivery of an S6 saloon on Monday. Loving it already, but it is a very different car to the S2. I did look at a black one on RS6 wheels with tinted windows and a black alcantara headlining, but chose a stock silver car with black leather and all the toys (TV, Sat nav, BOSE etc.) instead.

Being an automatic it is less visceral than the S2, and the engine response is very different, I think I prefer the V8. Mine is 5 years old and immaculate inside and out, the guy I bought it from also had a grey RS6 on his drive. If you want a more modern comfortable car with good luggage and passenger space, great performance and huge road presence then I would definitely recommend it. If you want something to thrash around, it is the wrong car.
