Bring it on... I'll be there... Just hope to goodness they can run some of the truly classic stages we have over here - on both sides of the border. Fantastic !

Killarney huh - only been there every year for the rally of the lakes from 1993 to 2001. We used to rally a GpN Nova GTE in the good old days - 2nd in class in the Irish Tarmac series was as good as it got - great times and a right laugh.
Its 'Molls Gap' where the fun is at - OMG what a fantastic piece of blackstuff. A full-duck quattro up there would be amazing and frightening all at once.
I have no idea what route limitations the WRC event will have but if they can run over some of the following it would be superb entertainment -
Molls Gap (nr Killarney)
Sallys Gap (nr Dublin)
Atlantic Drive (Co Donegal)
Hamilton's Folly (Co Down)
Torr Head (Co Antrim)
Seven Sisters (Co Antrim)
Sadly the sport quattros never did well in Ireland in the Group B days - combination of running silly power with mega traction and little chance for the transmission to relax with the kind of wheel spinning antics they revel in on gravel and ice. I can still remember the sight and sound of them coming over the horizon from a field in the dead of night near the airport. Ahhhh great days... Not a care in world !
