    Thieving toe rag

Some scurvy-ridden, GCSE-failing, gum-chewing chav has decided that my car's rear S2 badge didn't look right on my car and thought he'd have it for himself.
Yes, stolen, my rear S2 badge.
    Why?

What's the fecking point? What's he going to do with it? Probably stick it on the grille of his Dub Golf?

I know it's "only" a badge but it's the principle of the thing, I feel violated.

I had nice metal Audi dust caps on my previous Audi and they lasted about 6 weeks before someone half-inched those. It's frustrating isn't it, it's just such pointless petty thievery but it really bugs me. Grr.

I like the idea of hard wiring your car to the main's so that if anyone touches it, instant fizzles

I was thinking flamethrower under the car, triggered if someone tweaks the badge

Sorry to hear Dan, only a minor one I know but the principal is still frustrating!

Yup. Its just the petty mindedness. Its not life worrying getting your badge or whatever nicked, but like David said - I also went to the trouble of putting silver valve caps on when I had my wheels refurbed . And it was fooking annoying seeing them dissapear over the following week

Its the lack of respect and common deceny that some people unfortunately don't have to leave their theiving ,grubby, pikey little hands of other peoples property........

                      Sorry about the theft Dan

I was told by an old man who refurbishes wheels for a living that if you get some standard metal dustcaps tighten them with pliars and twist the sharpest end of the pliars an extra few turns around the edge of the dustcap, thus making it sharp! Its almost impossible getting them off using your fingers without cutting yourself! It was very satisiying watching a little pikey try to undo mine from the upstairs window of the gym I go to and then shake his hand violently in pain and run off HAHA!

As for your badge.. theres not alot you can do really... if you were to stick it on with superglue then it would leave a mess if they gave it a go with a screwdriver!!

...Trouble is overtightened metal dustcaps can backfire - when you want to remove them (probably a couple of months later) it's possible to twist the valve stem itself in the rim...

...I'd stick to boring plastic caps, keeping the shinies for show use.
