    kitcar question...

(robin hood super spec 2.0l Kseries)

About the grease a brand new propshaft (as my Dad told me it needs to be greased before it goes on). How is best to do this? Theres a grease nipple on it but I'm guessing you cant force grease back down it! Its fitted to the car (as I forgot to grease before hand) and I can remove it from the driver easily but from the gearbox end its pretty diffcult! would it be possible to slide the inside of the proshaft out, stick some grease around it and slide it back into the hole it came out of? ...If you can understand what im getting at there!!!

    cheers in advance

You really need a grease gun to plug onto the nipple and force it through. You may be able to take it apart and grease it manually but you really should use the gun to force it though under pressure to be sure its all properly lubricated.

Oh ok cool, I'll leave that for the time being. The gear stick and box connector has been taken out and I can get to the grease nipple from there! Just requires spending yet MORE money on tools!
Next job for me to do is shorten the handbrake cable!
