how much weights a 8x17" ultraleggera?
Also depends on tire. I weighed a Hankook Z212 today. 225/40-18. One of thoose weighed 9.5 kg. The ultraleggera i weighed also today was about 6.5 kg.

My ASA wheels are 10.4 kg each and thats 18x8

Also, the further away from the centre of rotation, the bigger the inertia effect - so lighter tyres will make a bigger difference, even if a wheel and tyre combination weighs the same amount. Unsprung weight is one thing but inertia is quite different and also very important. The bottom line is, keep the weight down if you can.
