How about Elvington. It's an old airfield in Yorkshire. They allow the runway to be used for track days 180 foot x 10,000foot (60M x 3,200m for the metric ones)

I'm Sorry Sid, they have cheap beer there too. My local has Sam Smith's at £1.24 a pint. The Mild is £1.17.

Better than a flat pint of London Pride for £2.70 that I had in London!!

It's better than English Lager. Continental stuff is ok tho'

Maybe we could bribe any nice continentals to fill up their cars with their cheap beer. A slippermobile would be best for load carrying.

Good shot, not looked at the web site myself.

It looks like a touring caravan site ( tents not usually welcome. My sister runs a caravan/ camp site near bridlington ( too far away I'm afraid ) her place is full of comforts.

It's people who come from Leeds. She asks " Are you staying for a week?" they then say " No I've just comfort the weekend".

The idea sounds good but unless it's filtered it needs to be in situ 3-4 days before to allow it to settle.

If the sediment is mixed in it will have a similar effect to Mineah's pickles!

Unless a local Micro brewery could deliver one?

Storm Brewing co in Macclesfield do 9 gallons for £35. That is 50pence per pint. Mind you I don't think your average lager drinker could manage decent real ale!

The Morris Minor club I run had a trip round Storm and the beer was fantastic.
