And you may or may not be interested to know that there's an air museum there too. See I'm a font of useless information. Blame that particular gem on living with someone whose mad on planes. He hasn't visited that museum yet though - so maybe I could sneak my old girl onto the track while he's looking at the flying machines and taking lots of photos!

Doh - it's that Friday afternoon feeling. I skimmed your message and didn't read what you were linking to.

You need to educate your girlfriend re the delights of Audi performance cars! I'm sure once you let her have a drive of the Audi, she'll get the bug too. But that said, a passenger ride was enough to persuade me that I just had to have an RS2! Isn't she besotted by the gorgeous burble of the five cylinder engine? Or perhaps she needs to experience the joy of the RS2 turbo kicking in!

Good reasons not to drive my Audi

It's a bit difficult as the Audi Has been off the road for 5 years and I've only been going out with her for 2 years!.

I am sorting it out and it will be back on the road. I just need to sort out the Porsche Brakes, towbar etc and then I can sell the Mondeo. She drives a Citroen ZX diesel.....Her choice!

Then again she is a primary school teacher, Vegetarian and expecting on the 13 jan! so she can't drive anything any way!
          Apart from driving me mad

              RUNWAY!!!!

Or of course the A1(M) during the 2am to 5am sweetspot too? Totally dead with no trafic whatsoever until the lorry drivers woke up. Coppers would have heard us from miles away last month during our late night / early morning tuning session! LOL!:wacked:

Let's go and break some cars on that runway We'll I know I would break mine - and I 'm sure "Leadtfooted" Lee will break something as well.

£150 each isn't bad - but £150 for a group is even better Which is it

Broke it tonight Doug!! Well, not quite, lost the bolt in the downpipe where the EGTs are measured. Feckin aweful noise and happened while giving it some beans. Thought I'd split a hose or lost one of the DV connections. LOL! Had to nurse it home and covered 20 miles in best part of an hour! Great. Didn't realise that the S2 can actually do more than 19mpg! He He.

Anyone looking into prices then, for runway hire?? Got to get a vid of my car braking (and hopefuly not breaking!!) just to see how much it dives! Feels like the back end is off the tarmac sometimes! Must get better shocks, I guess.

Just vibrated out. There's another one on its way to me as I type! Will cut down an old VW wheel bolt that I have and shove that in there until it arrives....same thread type. I know the seat is crap but at least it will hold until I get to the supermarket. I can get to it with the airbox in so can easily check it is still in tight after a few miles. My journeys are all less than 10 miles at the moment anyway.

First major failure (i claim this one now)
First crash (ive had 3 in mine so its someone elses turn!)

Should be a good testing area for the chip tuning boys. Didnt enjoy the last session. M1, 11am and loads of cars! Not ideal for 140mph testing!

It would be best to find out where the mass of the members reside then decide.

I can think of Somerset ( Audiman), London a couple in Scotland, Latvia, Scandinavia, Holland etc.

Maybe people may want to work fill in their location information, lots haven't.

I don't mind travelling, then again my Audi is probably more economical than most.
