It is Steve from Warwickshire.
It was the first outing for him with that engine and it was running .8 of bar of boost lower that it was mapped to. He was quite nervous so a wise thing.
I do not think he was running that much on the day as above mentioned it was .8/.7 of a bar short of what it was capable.
I cannot say exactly but when it was mapped it felt quicker by me and the mapper than anything else we been in.
It is quicker than the S2 od David Mosed that runs on the strip at Santa Pod As me and the mapper have been in both.
I can testify that it was very rapid, overtook me on the straight spitting flames. I had a great day with my mate, just 3 sessions but its the first time on the track for my S2 and i took it easy for the first one. The second session my mate was driving and the 3rd session was the best for me as i really got to know the track.

Sounds like a good day out guys, shame I couldnt make it. Was having a bit of a sureal day having a meal with a bunch of columbians for a wedding in brighton
The chap said he wasn't a member of the forum (if you're refering to the red coupe?). He was with Aelred. Made a real nice noise and went like stink. Would be interesting to know what power he was putting out, had a huge Turbo.
Very nice S2 indeed. was puzzled why he kept topping up his washer reservoir with a few litres of screenwash after each track session.
he told me the car was running water injection, and the alcohol in the screenwash helped.
if thats the case, would running in on smirnoff or bacardi add any more hp??
I was there with the CCGB, the red mk1 was/is Maurice Reeves car with an Audi 1.8T, driven on the day by his son. By all accounts it suffered a brake failure but may actually be repairable, although why you wouldn't start again with a new shell I do not know.
That red S2 really did fly, very impressive, but the Dialynx A4 was car of the day simply for the flames!
And Brian, of all the Corrados there (50+ on our stand at one point) you had to post a picture of that one......
