      Skull has the very latest version of these flips from Audi. Latest Audi version also looks very similar to earlier VW flips.

      That link died a death a long ago Tim, shame as it was a good write up.

      Without wanting to steal LHD_Kid's thunder, it's easy peasy to do.
      Tools needed;
      1/ small hammer
      2/ small panel pin or similar small punch to drive roll pin out.
      3/ Dremel or failing that, a junior hacksaw
      4/ small file
      5/ small vice, or a vice like grip with your hand.
      6/ Small drill bit, the same size as the roll pin.
      7/ Drill.

      Take the flipkey fob and open it so that the key is at a 90 degree angle to the main fob body. You'll see the small roll pin exposed. Knock that small roll pin out and the newer style key blade will pull out.
      Get your "to be cut" spare key, and using the newer key blade as a template, mark onto your key the shape that needs cutting. Using dremel/hacksaw, cut your key blade to the shape you marked out. Insert into new flip key and use a file to tidy it up so that it fits nice and snug.
      Take the drill bit and making sure your key blade is in nice and tight and also nice and straight, run the drill bit through the hole where the roll pin fits. Be gentle so that you don't snap the drill bit. This will cut a groove into your blade. An alternative way of cutting the groove is to use the edge of a file.
      Knock the roll pin back in.
      Done..

      Tips;
      Make sure that the spare key you use isn't the valet key, as these keys don't fit all the locks in your car, IIRC they only fit ignition and doors, not the boot lock or glove box.

      If your car has the factory immo ECU (very late 1994 and onwards), then you'll also need to remove the small, delicate, incredibly fragile, painfully delicate (I think you get the idea) glass tube from the main body of your donor spare key. It's located on the side of the plastic case, a sort of little square indent. You'll have to very carefully prise it out.
      BE CAREFUL taking it out.
      You'll then need to open the new flip key case and drill a small hole up towards the flip area, and insert the glass tube into it. Cover with a bit of elecrical tape.
      Again, BE CAREFUL. Don't come blaming me if you break the glass tube.

      Glass immo tube inserted.

            I have the original audi alarm on my avant which works great ... My key fob doesn't work all that good though is there any chance of using one of these new key fobs with the original alarm fitted to my avant ?

              Not a chance Jon. I have one of those alarms, and there ain't no way it's going into a new style fob. Way too big. (especially the switch on the side and the little diagnostic socket thingy)

                The only way is to open up the remote you already have and see how big the transponder/internals are.

                TBH, the only one I have seen is Jase's , and I know that a One type of the Meta remotes fit.........

                    You never get nowt if you don't ask Jon.
                    It just so happens that a certain north west "so called specialist" borked my alarm up last tear. I had to pay £120 on a sunday for an auto electrician to come and remove it before I could drive it back home (wasn't amused)
                    So, that means I had two spares, one went to Tim (S2Avant95M) and I have the other here.
                    If you want butcher it for the buttons, PM me an addy and I'll sent it to you. It's no good to me anymore.
