Thinking of going RX7 effini ?????

Hi All, First i will wait for the comments on the effini Posted this here, as not for sale as a definate ?????
As you know i now live in the countryside (down in a valley as i have just found out LOL) so i am in two minds about this decision. I love my S2, but it spends most of its days parked up. The only road i get to give it a good run on is the a69.
You know what its had done (have still the spec what ant wrote)
Just wondering if i sell it, whats an approx figure its worth. The problem with the linkage is now sorted & with the quickshift, gear change is now nice.
JASIIN on here can vouch on how it is now & the boost

Waiting to see what you think, i wont be offended about effini comments,
they are bloody quick little sports cars...

a little pic to remind you of Vinny, he needs a wash as a bit dusty
& has muddy cat paw prints on the bonnet.

Nice car the RX7 shame about the engine needs rebuilding every 44k miles

If you have the cash to run one!

If your 6" or over forget about trying to drive one as well

        fd3s's last between 60 - 100k if serviced propperly

1200kg 50/50 weight distribution, LSD, twin turbo
handling is amazing, handfull in the wet but very good fun, does drink a bit of fuel but no worse than an s2, main thing to watch is water temperature, and compression,

ive been driving this onr for a month and ive never driven a car thats as much fun, yeah i like my audi for its build quality and robustness etc but the rx-7 is so light and nimble, if you have never driven one - try it! yeah i know rice car but they have got handling and perfomance spot on with this credit where credits due n all

will def buy another after this one

I have always likedjap sports cars as you prob know i parted with a 95 supra but it was'nt a turbo & it was auto. Some jap cars are tinny, bland etc. But the RX7, i have always liked. Infact, before i made the decision on the S2, i was offered a soft top on a G plate, with everything rebuilt, stage 1 or 2, & sparayed gleaming white, with reciepts & he had owned it for 5 yrs.... But i turned it down due to its age.
If i do get one, i dont want a fresh import. Would hunt for one that had rebuild reciepts.history etc. Its not the cost of running the S2 (infact its great on fuel)
its the roads & the work that i need to do on the S2, to make the suspension softer.
As i aint a mechanic & it so much pee's me off when i have to drive like a pussy
          all the time. :mischeif:

How much is my S2 worth ????

To make your S2 more to your needs you need to go back to standard suspension or Koni shocks.

Noooo Bilstein's all the way with stiff springs, then take it to the Nurburgring and your life will be complete. but I may be biased

It's a great setup but Tina has 19", wicked handling but hell on the base of your spine on rough roads

The roads where i live just aint cut out for solid suspension.

Where i live there aint any garages to help, they are farmers, & i aint got the knowhow & strengh to do work myself.

But i have a trolly jack & tools, LOL

Lol mate of mine has RX7 twin turbo, and they are tinny!!!!

He is changing to single turbo setup, and has stripped so much out of the car that it will certainly fly - but it won't be much use as a daily driver.

I also love Jap sports cars, having had many in the past 10 years,STI 5, EVO 4, MK3 and 4 Supra turbos, 300ZX TT, Skyline R32 GTR, and an RX7... I disagree, I found that it was tinny, and not as well put together as a MK4 supra (like you had before), it was, however fantastic fun, and superb to drive. I wouldn't want it as a daily driver as I am a little large for them, but not a problem you would have.
Reliablility would also worry me, and if they go wrong - which it probably will if you enjoy driving on shoddy roads - will be expensive to pay others to repair...
I miss the one I had, even though I only had it a month... good fun (and I found it heavier on fuel than the S2)
                        Go for it girl...!
Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...
'03 ZX12-R daily hack.... lots of nice bolt ons...

My mates just bought a 1992 jap import efini. It still has the stock twin turbo setup.
Very pokey you can't really notice the lag.

Great looking and shockingly fast for a stock car. Great handling (in the dry) Great fun in the wet, this car is the drift master. :mischeif:

Interior is not to great found it to be quite squeaky, doors have to be slammed and clunk when closed like a ford orion. eeeyuk.

it's an oven on wheels! those muthas get hot inside even with the air-con switched on!

If you don't care too much for silence inside the cockpit and are after full on raw sports feel this is the one.

oh yeah, cheap road tax too!

                            Get that RX-7!!

I owned one for 3 years and I'm missing it like crazy..
Only reason I sold it was because I wanted 4WD here in snowy Norway. I also was afraid it would kill me sometime or another. A little too much oversteer for me (I'm not the best driver).

I've had my RS2 for a little over 2 years now, and so far it's been far less reliable than the Mazda. Probably my bad luck though..

Spent a lot of money on the RX, performance mods mostly. Tried to keep it stock-looking on the exterior, as I love the OEM look of these cars.
It was the best car I've ever had and it will be hard to find anything better.

its nice to see others with a good taste in cars.
                              Im sooooooo tempted.
                              Evo's also tempt me.
If i still lived in stoke i would'nt think of parting with my S2,
but here there are some cracking roads, and the suspension plays on my
back due to old crash injuries when i was rammed off road by a drunk ??

                              @efifi........ very nice mazda
