On my previous car (Clio) I had the no. plate: S2 PTH (due to my initials being that, and simply because it was a low no. and looked decent enough to my parents when they bought it for me). However, it was nothing to do with an S2, as I didn't express any interest in them back then! However, now that I have an S2, even though its a '96 plate, its still an N-reg and unfortunately I can't put it on the car (due to the rule: You can't make a car appear newer than it is).
So earlier I was looking at other possiblities, and was typing in things like 'A5 POT' and 'A5 CYL' but to no avail! And then I got a bit ahead of myself and typed in:
'S25 CYL' which they wanted £189 for!!!!
I pictured seeing ' S2 5CYL' on my car then remembered the old rule, and the reason why I hadn't put 'S2 PTH' on my car... SO FRUSTRATING!
Anyone else had to put plates on retention for this reason?
