I usually find with 530d's that they are okay neck and neck until they have to change gear and you can hang on to your gear in the S2. They have similar levels or torque or slightly higher, but it is spread over a narrower rev band. You should be pulling away after a couple of gear changes. If you get caught out off boost though you can forget it!

i just have tried one of my friend. it was 535D. plenty of torque!!
when i floored it doing about 70 km/h traction control swithed on immediatelly becouse rear axle wanted to be front one. it is a nice big piece of a car.
I have a A6 30tdi quattro, S-Line of course!! off the line it is crazy with the torque. I also have the paddle change on the steering wheel which also helps keep it in gear.
Never been one for diesel but i must say it is very impressive.
Best not meet the 535 then! I was looking at the figures on these 0-60 6.5, 35mpg combined! and easily chipped ... It deserves serious respect jack of no trades master of alot.
Diesels are stinky, noisey, smoky oil burners and sound like tractors.
We are all going to have to face the fact, that in the future, the fossil fuel burning combustion engine will die, be it petrol or diesel. Then we'll all be driving cars powered by vegetable oil and ear wax .
