So all those chavs with those fake lambo doors might just want to stop and think (this might be beond their ability) then???

It's funny (sorry wrong choice of words) but I have never thought of the fact that these types of doors would stop an escape if you flip your car. Another damm good reason not to fit Lambo doors and the fact that they look ***** on any thing but a Lambo (unless it's on it's roof).

RIP Mr Lambo Driver - No one deserves this type of end.

mmm, but you'd think there could be some kind of hydraulic door lifting mechanism? I suppose that would add weight, but I'm sure (with audi's help) they could get a Lambo to flip back onto its wheels like 'Roadblock' out of Robot Wars does!

I read somewhere that at least the Countach had some security mechanism that made it possible to kick the doors out in case of flipping over. I don't think that all those aftermarket kits for other cars has it, though...

But, when you hang upside-down, injured, no door is easy to open.

On the Le Mans Bentley the doors had a weakened thin area in the CFRP and the windows had latches at the bottom and plastic bolts at the top. This made it possible to kick and smash the door through if the car was upside down.

even a normal door would get jammed in that situation.

That neowin forum looks like its full of knob sacks, instantly saying "idiot driver" "inexperienced driver" "cant handle his car" W*****KERS!!!

for all they know a lorry pushed him off the edge! We ALL make mistakes on the road, even if it was the lambo drivers fault he dosnt deserve such disrespect, he was human, humans make mistakes! and in this tragic accident a human died and they slag him off? pfff!!

Some people are not quite right. I'm sure they would think differently if the driver had been a relative or girlfriend.

As I said, no one deserves to end their life like this.

Yeah, reading a few of those comments on that site there seems to be some real wrong-uns hanging out on there.

From what I've read elsewhere, the driver of the Lambo was a fairly mature Skoda Octavia Rally Cup driver. His passenger was a young lady of 23.
I can't quite bring myself to see the worst of the pictures, but I'm told it looks like the passenger was maybe trying to escape after the crash. I don't want to even dwell on what that means....

As ctolladay said, no one deserves that fate.
The guy may have made a mistake or some other factor may have led to the crash, but two people ended up having a horrific end to their lives.
