Right have rang the office and it is closed. Was at work last night so off to get some kip then will try later.
I have emailed with many questions on wedging onto the disc, turnaround time, costs for one or many etc... Hopefully may get a comeback on it today or I will ring them tomorow.

right, i can cut a redesigned backing pad for the brembo caliper and get the compound added by ferrodo, i know i can get one set done easily but to get a few sets done there will no doubt be a minimum order, how many people would be interestered in this conversion, can have a word with BRY about brackets for mounting them but could do with a rough guide as to how many people woulde want them

Nice one Roy, that is a great upgrade but looks like it cost the earth!!!!!(and sounds it too),

@WAB - the caliper on the piccie looks a bit wider than usual, looks like the plates are approx 4-5mm in thickness. I.E. hardly any pad material........

No answer form them as of yet but will wait till tomorow (and I only got up at 5.30 - yes I am a lazy get!).

you miss understand me, not putting an extra plate in, just getting material added to a new backing plate so it would be no thicker than normal

One problem you need to think about is long term, if you make a custom brake pad (remembering it will be a small limited market) what are you going to do about supply say in 5 years time?
The seperate plate idea (and it is something we are working on also) is the way forward as you can use a stock pad that you would be able to get 5-10 years from now, the plate will never need replacing.
The the problem you have after that is the pull of the handbrake is going to be offset as the Porsche Monoblock caliper has a central holding pin (but we are working on that), the bracket for the caliper is the easy bit, if it weren't for the handbrake issue we would have all been on Mono's at the rear for a very longtime.
Great that you can laser cut, I'm glad I have you email Will

The suspension isn't as scary as the brakes are. How many times have you gone... "Shhhhh... Im braking, im braking, come on... that was close, phew!" when talking about the brakes? And besides, the S2 doenst handle badly really? But remembering again you don't have an S2... Its a hard decision, but if you're at all safety concious then you'll go for the brakes first!
...ever since I floored you I knew that I loved you!
