race 3.2 TT

I had a bit of a joust with a 3.2 TT yesterday & was quite surprised how easy it was to blow him away!
I would have thought with an extra 1000cc they were a lot faster than our old girls?
Ive driven a mates 1.8 & im certainly faster than that, but 3.2 litres? WTF!

I have driven the new 3.2 TT 260hp the other day on Audi promotion I also did not find it too exciting acceleration wise. But handling was another story it has active suspension, esp on/off, is much lower then stock s2... at the end of day i still find s2 more atrractive..

Vlada, this one wasnt one of the new ones. I just thought it would have been a bit more difficult to shake off! Maybe the extra weight of the V6 slows it down?

TTs were built for girls and their hairdresser friends. To much speed would upset their hair and we could not have that.

Simon engine size is not everything a 3.2 vs a 2.2 turbo charged car is no competition

If the TT had a forced induction system of some kind then that would be different.

how about the new TT .. which will have alloy parts built into the chassi making it lighter ... i believe they claim it to be 200kg lighter .. so about 1300kg roughly ... do a search on the new TT .. I seen this in the audi driver mags .....

Someone should stick a turbo or supercharger to the TT, that'll mess with their hair. heehee

I still won't look twice at a TT cus I'm still not happy the TT replaced the much more loved S2

A friend of mine was finally able to buy his dream car a few weeks ago, £19.000 R32 Golf 3.2l
Seeing him and another r32 behind him on the A47 i rolled up next to him and gave him the nod, let them both get a few car lengths ahead then gave large amounts of overboost in 4th.

Yep, love the sleeper nature of the S2, only thos in the know, KNOW! I had a nice little run with a Porsche Carrera the other day. 30 grand car vs a sub 10 grand car = me having to brake so i wouldnt go into the back of him
