S2 avant boost controller

Can anyone help me ??!! when i bought my car it had a powertec boost controller on it which basically let the car boost as much as it wanted the problem im having is it keeps cutting out over 1 bar im guessing that this is the ecu ive got the old boost valve but the powertec one has only got two pipes running from it whereas the old one has three stubs to connect up as well as a electrical switch. I cant seem to find anything near it that could possibly be what i need #The two pipes one runs from the boost controller to the what looks like the turbo intake possibly?? and the other to the bottom of the round thing next to the induction kit not very technical i know !! If anyone can help it would be much apprieciated if it makes it easier i could take a pic ?? thanks Rik

Have you got any pictures that might help. since it isnt a standard bit of kit it will probably take a bit longer to work it out

The 3rd pipe is where the OEM wgfv vents back into intake system, i have a similiar setup on the avant.

From you description it looks like the pipes aren't setup correctly, one should go to the turbo to measure boost and the other should go to the wastegate.

The one to the air inlet should be blanked off.

basically that valve is controlling all your boost bleed valve stylee.

I bet what is happening is the ecu is seeing to much boost and cutting out.

Remove and put back to standard mate would be my advice.

Studying the pics (hard to see) looks like it directly inbetween the turbo and wastegate.

Does not look or sound good to me. Put it back to standard and have the ECU remapped, otherwise you could end up in a world of pain...

goto agree with fatty, it doesnt look like a good setup. Is there some electronics controlling the amount of boost too or just that valve?

Get that sick plumbing off the car Rik... Get it back to standard with a new WGFV and see what a nicely setup S2 is supposed to go like.

I don't like boost controllers - they only do a third of the job and when bleed valves get involved its all a bit wrong really.

would the third pipe go to the blanked off hole just under my dump valve ?? not sure if you can see it in the pics what piping can i use ?? something like fuel piping be ok?? really apprieciate the help lads

also on the original dump valve it looks as if it has a electrical connector is that right if so where will it be coming from ?? only i cant see any stray ones under there !
