German Car Day at Shakey!

Just come back from German Car Day at Shakespeare County Raceway. More Jap metal than German but a good line up from the Outlaw Flat 4 VW boys made it worth while!!

I managed to get 6 runs in, in the RS2 and also managed to get a run in against a standard RS2 which was nice to see.
Best was a 14.10 with a fluffed 2nd-3rd gear change.

Tried desperately to get a 13 before we had to go but gave up in the end!

It takes a bit of practice with the gear changes and launches. I still need to polish mine a bit. what RPM were you launching at? I found that made the biggest difference to the time.

No more than 4000 rpm as it was a fully prepped track and didn't want to kill it!!

Tried different RPM's on changing from 1st-2nd and 2nd to 3rd. First couple of runs I changed at 7000rpm which was probably too high so then did the next 2 at 6400 and 6200 which improved my times by half a second.

4.99 0-60 and 13.3 something 1/4. launching at 5500 instead of 4k knocked 0.2-0.3 of a sec off
