    One side indicator?

Hi all, i was just wondering if anyone has heard of any S2 with only one side of the car having an near door indicator.

I have searched through lots of photos of S2, RS2 and found some dont have side indicators and some do but its not always possible to see both sides to see if they have just one.

My next question .... what are the visible differences between a 3B and an ABY apart from. 6 gears, clear indicators, an avant etc..

Side indicators are a U.K thing, they are needed for the U.K MOT, european S cars dont have them. If you buy a new front wing the holes for the indicators aren't there and need to be drilled (P.Diddy info alert)

Erm of the top my head Front lights, Rear light cluster, 3B has Quattro written in the heater element in the back screen. S2 Badge on left for ABY and Right for 3B

        @ Jamo,

I think i got my answer why my S2 has only one side indicator (new wing) It just amazes me that they didnt bother to drill a hole and put it back on.
oh well gives me an excuse to buy a pair of clear ones and do it myself.

        thanks.

            Demon Tweeks
            Needforspeed
            etc....

I use aftermarket clear side repeaters and I've melted two sets. The second one not so bad as the first, but I'll be going OEM next time.

You melted them? I wouldn't have thought that possible given that they are only 5W bulbs, and they are on barely for any length of time. Tell us more .
Has anyone else experienced/heard of this before?

MHW Autoart make the best aftermarket side repeaters IMHO.

Be aware of some of them sold on fleabay, the prong on the side used to clip them in will snap even if you look at it hard enough .
The versions sold in Halfords when I got mine, were made by Hella, same as the OEM orange ones I took off.
                    £14 a pair IIRC.

Jamo is right, they fit some of the Golf's, also polo's, jetta, sciroccos, corrado's, audi 100, 200, early A6/S6, S6+, RS2, audi v8, 80/90/avant, cabby, golf cabby, passat and believe it or not, some Porsche 911's.

Ok cheers. Are they just a press fit so can just be prised off using a blade screwdriver aye?

They are a press fit, you need to push the tab in with a little flat blade whilst wiggling out the indicator.

Be careful they have a habit of breaking on removal though and also dont let the bulb holder drop down into the wing BTDT

I can vouch for the MHW ones, OEM quality. The cheap ones are crap and don't look OEM either...

                            Cheers,
