Yeah supposedly anyone can build a decent exhaust for an S2 or an RS2 and for a good price at that as well!!! Yeah right!
Long story short: I've mapped dozens and dozens (probably around 50 in total if not more) of RS2s, with stock exhausts and with dozens of aftermarket systems on them. One thing I have noticed is that boost control remains close to the same whether the car has standard or performance cats or no cats on a standard or Milltek downpipe, if I want a car to run 1.7 Bar peak then it'll do it just fine and no major adjustments are needed to the N75 map so the car runs those boost levels.
That was UNTIL I got to do a car with a full Supersprint exhaust on it. At first I thought the N75 was broken because I got 2.2 bar spikes all the time. Then I changed the N75 and I was still getting 2.2 bar, more like 2.3 in higher gears, which means the old N75 was shot but wasn't working hard enough. It finally took about 2 extra hours to remap boost control properly so boost wouldn't exceed 1.75 Bar. The result was well worth it as the car produced 375 PS on the dyno that day, for 305 standard with the Supersprint exhaust and stock ECU.
So honestly, don't think that all exhausts are created equal, because they aren't. I've since done probably around 15 RS2s with Supersprint exhausts on them and they have all produced better than your average "RS2 with full exhaust" results/performance increases.
I can only attribute the increase in boost with the system on to the fact that Supersprint systems have much lower backpressure than all other systems available.
Just my 0.02.

Cant remember the details i'll have to see if i can dig up the receipt,
Dont forget that only the down pipe is of any use to coupe owners, the rest of the system is for the avant, so you still end up having to go custom for the centre and rear sections
