    That bloke at Quattronics!

Well after toying with the idea of upgrading the brakes on my RS2 I spoke to Corey at Quattronics to get some ideas . I told him I wanted some brakes that would stop me with the reply being "then brakes you shall have " Needless to say I was sold the best upgrade possible for my budget, 996 calipers, disks and pads with custom brackets to mount it all . All I can now say is that the car stops and it stops f***in quick! I had heard a lot about these kits however it isn't until you use them that you realise how good they are. The price was very reasonable too so much so the b*****d has convinced me to put matching calipers on the rear for which he will develop and manufacture the custom brackets. Not a bad achievement on the eve of my 10th (and possibly final) wedding aniversary!! Anyway what is the moral of the story? If you don't want your car in safe hands with more work done on it than agreed and at a good price by a complete Audi nut then take it to kwik fit
You might leave the S2 fold every so often - but you'll always come back!

Pleasure to help this to be your final wedding anniversary, I did say I do marriage guidance.
For the record Simon has had the GT3 upgrade for his RS2 and will be having the GT3 rears also once his wife has allowed him back out to play.

      Upgrade to RS2

Simon, glad to hear your'e a happy guy!
Thought the RS2s came with 993tt calipers and the 322 or something rotors? Although, I've heard about the "Little Reds" that some RS2s come with something like a 312mm rotor
You upgraded to what, GT3 = 996tt calipers and a 993tt 323mm rotor on a hat, exactly what I'm doing on my UrQ?
Corey, please explain how your rear solution would work with the parking brake? My rears are UrS4 rears.

Most RS2's came with "little" reds, these were the same caliper's as fitted to the 968 of the period. They were wrapped around 304x32 1 piece non drilled disc's. As a Sport option, you could specify from the factory the "Big" reds and 322x32 1 piece cross drilled disc's (effectively the same disc as you are using but doesn't have a seperate hat)
Our conversion uses the same disc from the Sport option (1 piece cross drilled) and the caliper from the 996 GT3/tt, on the RS2 (with a custom bracket) this is a bolt on job.
The rears is effectively the same arrangement as on the RS2 there is no need to worry about the handbrake as it is seperate to the caliper.
On every other Audi the handbrake is integral to the rear caliper.

          From the Little to Bigs

          Hi Corey,
Ahhhhhh....Sounds like that would make a huge difference!

I came sooo close to going with your SQ rotor and brackets for the 996 non turbo caliper on my UrQ. I didn't have calipers when we were talking and a uge deal on 996tt came up and I dropped the hammer on them. I've been talking up your 996/SQ combo to a friend here, so never know, you might get one in the area soon. He's thiking of doing a G60 upgrade, and I'm....Man, if your'e planning on changing stuff, really change it!

Can't remember what you charged for the caliper bracket and SQ rotors?
          He'd get calipers here!
