Are these 18"s the real deal??

Some discussion before about the option of 18" cups for the RS2.
A friend of mine bought them for his German Look Bug, but they're too big and he wants to swap them for my 17's. I'm a semi purist at heart and would only swap if they were a genuine option for the RS2, but have drawn a few blanks as to whether the RS2 was ever offered with 18's.

ACP Alu-Cast Products, I've not heard of them before.

Part No. 8518-90, they're made in Germany and have the word JARA on them as well!

    anyone shed any light please??

There for me bus for the time being, as the 17s are on there at the moment, but would like to keep a genuine set of RS2 rims just incase we ever come to sell the car.

FA only shows two wheels available as standard fit on the RS2

            Top being the Cups in 7J X 17 ET55

Bottom being 6J x 16 ET53.1 (these look like the wheels my dads mate had on his 928)
            2001 Avus Silver B5 RS4.
            2004 A4 Avant 1.8T quattro Sport-LE.
            1995 S2 Coupe - sold (sniff)

the bottom ones look like Design90 rims as opposed to 928 rims.

I've got a set in me shed as they were on the bus originally.

I think they'd look rather lost under the arches of the RS2! Gotta say I've never seen a set on an RS2 before.

Agreed on them being lost under there, never seen a set myself either
Bet they didn't sell many RS2's with those fitted as an option.

As an after thought, I think those 18" Cups would look beautifull with the outer rim polished and the rest a nice bright silver.
If he needs to sell, I may know someone interested providing he can get 5 x 130 > 5 x 112 adapters.

I think they are a winter option,

I have seen an RS with them on, don't look as bad as you would think....

You can get 112-130 adaptors from Machine7 in Nuneaton. Are they for a VW Bus? They are 112pcd.

He doesn't want to sell them, he want's to swap them for my rims which are colour coded near to the colour of his car as well!!!!
I'm sure he'd sell them if I say no to them though!

That figures! Most people keep 'em under wraps in winter so we don't get to see them!!

btw, they are 18x8.5 et 52.

Just thinking if they were offered as a wheel aren't they a bit big anyway?

They go straight on the RS with 225 40 18 tyres, more fun fitting 245 35 18, had to do some grinding on the rear suspension to clear...
Looks more RS4 with the offset/extra track width...

Are they turned out to fit the RS hubs?...

@Jas. I think the bottom wheel listed is the "Design 90" wheel. Come On 911 964 models as stock, and 944 S2.
I assume if they were to fit an RS2 then it would only be with the smaller brakes
