    Bad battery = running probs?

    Hi-

Could a bad battery cause running trouble? I ask, because my battery has been getting a bit low on juice after some cold nights recently, and I'm in to replace it soon. But the car sat for the past 4 days, started ok but took a few more cranks than normal, and voltage was at 10V & then 12V once started. Once up to temp, I booted it a bit and there was some heavy hesitation and misfiring. it was quite bad and very evident no anything over about 1/2 throttle; about 15 miles later she is taking 1.5bar with no probs but still doesn't like full throttle; voltage then up to 12.5V.

I'd have thought once running, the battery being a bit crap wouldn't cause any issues, am I wrong? Could a .5 - 1v drop cause such significant problems?

I figured a bit of damp could be to blame, but after a few miles i'd have expected it to dry out. I'll try and get a hold of a Bosche Silver tomorrow as it needs replacing anyway...

LOW VOLTAGE = WORRIES and trubble

14,4 volt MIN (with lights and fan on)= less worries and prob with the batt.
i have 14,7 on mine generator, and a batteri who arent sick.
are the battery gone, change it before the higher voltage
