I was up at Halfway yesterday and had a fantastic time. My first rally and was amazed at how close we got (not strictly keeping out of the roped off areas
).
The millenium stadioum stage looked good btw, shame we couldn't make that
Here's some pictures from the dayAttached FilesComment

Great photos, reminded me of all the years I've spent freezing my **** off in some forest.
Going to Ireland next year to see WRC on tarmac, now that should be good. Hope the ferry crossing aint to rough!!!!
Nice rs4, far to clean. Bet it doesn't look like that now.
I'm off to watch rally on tele now. 4.10p.m ITV

Very busy but good fun. Think of it as a beehive, lots of people rushing around.Originally posted by Greg_SLooks like your're having an excellent weekend. Bet the atmosphere is pretty good
Found this parked next to us yesterday, couldn't find the keys though

We have just finished the press conference.

nothing really of any note was reported from it, Malcom Wilson said that they are going to continue to use "pretty much the same car next year as this one but perhaps we will have an evolution version halfway through."
It was Ford's first win here for 27 years, the last one by a certain Hannu Mikkola driving for Ford in 1979.
It is nearly time to go home from the Rally of GB, we should be leaving at around 7pm tonight, so only a 3 hour drive home, although I am sure I can beat what the SatNav says for our eta
I would like to say a huge thanks to Audi UK for loaning the RS4 Avant and also to David Corfield of Total Audi for inviting me on this expedition (and also the A8 TDi we were playing with on the way here for having a bloody good radar detector as if I had been in front of him I would now not have a license
)
It has been a lot of hard work, I am used to oily engines, I think I will leave the journalisim to those that do it best.
Back to normality tomorrow

A lot of people involved with the media circus have other day jobs, this is something they are passionate about and still keep their involvement.Originally posted by iain1067Curious, why was Audi UK's motorsport guy there???? audi gone rallying again and we all missed it??
